Puck The Halls (The Playmakers Series) - G.K. Brady
Cozy up with a nice cup of hot cocoa and stay warm while reading this novella during the holiday season.
This story is all about a team and friend group of hockey players and their romantic partners (in The Playmakers Series) attending a wedding in the mountains and their stay at a huge mansion. Every couple has their issues it seems, except for the joyful bride and groom to be. When the happy couple arrive at the manor, they find that everyone else is divided and upset at their respective partners from the car ride over.
However, things take an even bigger turn for the worst when a natural disaster strikes leaving the hockey players stranded in the freezing cold hoping for rescue. As both the men and women have time to think things over, they realize their fights were silly and want nothing more than a safe return for their loved ones.
I loved exploring each perspective of the couples during their point of view chapters. My favorite characters were Beckett and Paige because they felt the most relatable. There are seven couples in this story. Which makes sense because there are seven previous books before this one. All of the main characters from the series were woven into this novella. Honestly, it did get to be a bit confusing with all the names being introduced, but I was able to play catch-up.
If you like happily-ever-afters then this is the story for you. I really enjoyed the reading pace and overall experience of this novella and would like to read the rest of the series from beginning to end.
