One of the Girls - Lucy Clarke

Book Synopsis: From the international bestselling author comes a twisty psychological thriller set on a stunning Greek island, One of the Girls tells the delicious story of a bachelorette trip that ends in murder. Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Lucy Foley.

It was supposed to be the perfect weekend away. Six very different women travel to a sun-soaked Greek island for a bachelorette trip, to celebrate Lexi’s upcoming wedding. From the glorious ocean views to the quaint tavernas and whitewashed streets, the vacation seems too good to be true. But dangerous undercurrents run beneath the sunset swims and midnight cocktails – because each of the women is hiding a secret. Someone is determined to make sure that Lexi’s marriage never happens – and that one of them doesn’t leave the island alive.

Gripping, twisty, and full of sun-soaked suspense, this timely thriller examines the joys of female friendship…as well as the deadly consequences when a relationship goes wrong.

A hen-do set on a beautiful Greek island... what could possibly go wrong? Lexi is having her hen-do and it seems like everyone has a secret - each one more devastating than the last.

To be honest, the story was a bit long-winded and dragging, but exciting at the same time, there was hardly any humor, however, the twist near the end made up for all of it. This story has alternating perspectives of the six women attending the hen-do. Out of all the six women, my favorite perspective was Eleanor's, her story was the most captivating to me. I loved the way the author was so descriptive in the story details, it felt like I was there enjoying the hen-do weekend with Lexi and her friends.

Read this book to find out if friendship can truly withstand anything, even the weight of hidden truths. The release date for this book is June 28, 2022 - the perfect book to curl up with on vacation or your stay-cation this summer.
