Everything I Crave (Lupine Valley #4) - J. Hutchison
Book Synopsis: His demons deserve to be loved, as do mine.
Willow
Gunnar Keaton saved me, even if I don’t want to admit it. He took me in at my lowest, never giving a thought as to what it would mean for the future.
After ostracizing everyone I once knew and loved, he does the unimaginable, offering me a job at The Bar and a place to live. Panic erupts, as it always does, at his undeserved kindness. I’m broken, splintered into so many pieces I’m afraid I will never be capable of a stable life. And yet…
His inner demons call to me, soothing my own and creating a space where healing might be possible. If only I could let go and trust again… If only.
Gunnar
Willow Harper brought me back to life, even if she doesn’t know it. Life passed me by until she came back to her hometown, drinking herself into a stupor at my bar. I never imagined this would be the start of something, but things in this town never work out the way you think.
I know what it’s like being an outcast, losing the part of yourself that you never thought would vanish and fighting every day to survive. My kindness only goes so far, but my attraction to her doesn’t have a limit. It grows each time I see her, but nothing can come of it. However…
Her brokenness calls to me, reminding me of the battle I once fought and bringing out the protective nature I had almost forgotten. Along with her feisty attitude and haunted past, I don’t think I can give that up, no matter the consequences. Will Willow and Gunnar find everything they crave in Lupine Valley, or will the hardships in their past be too much to overcome?
This is the fourth book in the Lupine Valley series, and I'm so glad that it's here, but sad that there's only one more book left in this series!
I think that Willow is an absolute spitfire, she's feisty and headstrong! I enjoyed the romance that bloomed between her and Gunnar. Willow is the youngest Harper sister, so it's fitting that her story came later on. At the start, you can already tell the attraction between Gunnar and Willow, a spark of flirtation and longing to fix what's broken inside both of them. I loved the brotherly bond that the Harper sisters' significant others share with Gunnar and of course the relationship that gets repaired with Willow and her mother Lorelei is equally heartwarming. If I could read a book series for the first time again it would be the Lupine Valley hands-down. There's something that always draws me to reading small town romances and I think that this story fits the bill perfectly.
If you want to read this series, I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for a small town romance with just the right amount of spice.
