Dashing Through The Snow - Debbie Macomber

Book Synopsis: Savor the magic of the season with #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber’s newest Christmas novel, filled with warmth, humor, the promise of love, and a dash of unexpected adventure.

Ashley Davison, a graduate student in California, desperately wants to spend the holidays with her family in Seattle. Dashiell Sutherland, a former army intelligence officer, has a job interview in Seattle and must arrive by December 23. Though frantic to book a last-minute flight out of San Francisco, both are out of luck: Every flight is full, and there’s only one rental car available. Ashley and Dash reluctantly decide to share the car, but neither anticipates the wild ride ahead.

At first they drive in silence, but forced into close quarters Ashley and Dash can’t help but open up. Not only do they find they have a lot in common, but there’s even a spark of romance in the air. Their feelings catch them off guard—never before has either been so excited about a first meeting. But the two are in for more twists and turns along the way as they rescue a lost puppy, run into petty thieves, and even get caught up in a case of mistaken identity. Though Ashley and Dash may never reach Seattle in time for Christmas, the season is still full of surprises—and their greatest wishes may yet come true.

Yes, yes, I'm guilty. I've never read a Debbie Macomber book and I'm just starting now. If you've been reading this blog for a long time, or you're new, you must know by now that I LOVE Hallmark Christmas movies and the like.

Ever since I found out that this book was made into a movie, I absolutely had to have it.

Ashley and Dash are in quite the pickle, they have to get to Seattle and there's only one rental car left at the airport, since they agree to share the car, they are in for a roaring wild ride.

They of course are complete strangers that slowly turn into something more...

This is actually the second Debbie Macomber book that I've read and ever since reading Alaskan Holiday, I have wanted to pick up all the books that she's written (which will be no small feat).

Honestly, the story was pretty good, but I just wished that it would've been a bit longer in length for the story which by the way is told in alternating perspectives.

Quick update: I have watched the movie, and I did like it, except for the fact that it was a bit strange that the FBI was not that smart, but I guess it's true to the book.

I suggest reading the book before you watch the movie because you don't want to be disappointed or spoiled early.
