Proof Of Forever - Lexa Hillyer

Book Synopsis: Before: It was the perfect summer of first kisses, skinny-dipping, and bonfires by the lake. Joy, Tali, Luce, and Zoe knew their final summer at Camp Okahatchee would come to an end, but they swore they’d stay friends. After: Now, two years later, their bond has faded along with those memories. Then: That is, until the fateful flash of a photo booth camera transports the four of them back in time, to the summer they were fifteen—the summer everything changed. Now: The girls must recreate the past in order to return to the present. As they live through their second-chance summer, the mystery behind their lost friendship unravels, and a dark secret threatens to tear the girls apart all over again. Always: Summers end. But this one will change them forever.

Think strange, nonsensical episode of Doctor Who meets Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

After reading it, I still was a bit on the fence if I should review this or not.

I've never read any book by this author before and I guess I now know why.

Oddly, I didn't hate it, but I didn't exactly like it either. Weird isn't even the word that I would use to cover this novel. Yes, the dust jacket cover is pretty, but that's all the substance that this book really had.

I wish it would've explained more about why they went back to the summer they were 15 years old at summer camp and how it all happened.

Probably one of the most try hard books that I've read this year, honestly, this book had potential to be great and it just fell short when it came to my expectations.

The characters just were written in such a juvenile manner, and the book was confusing at best. Is there a sequel? Or a better way to explain how royally screwy this book is...
