Six Of Crows (Six of Crows # 1) - Leigh Bardugo

Book Synopsis: Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone...

A convict with a thirst for revenge

A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager

A runaway with a privileged past

A spy known as the Wraith

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes

Kaz's crew are the only ones who might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first.

I finally did it. After collecting my thoughts for about a month, I caved into reading this duology.

Instagram and the members of Goodreads have been raving about this series and how it's been life changing. Truthfully I wouldn't say that, but I thought it was good enough.

The blasphemy, I know.

Though my feelings are bordering on stagnant... life goes on. I'll find another book to read.

Back to the review, the characters were interesting, new and basically hopped off the pages. A thief story is always fun especially when it's been written right. Currently, I'm reading the second book: Crooked Kingdom.

First thoughts: it's picking up slowly, but I'm not even up to the halfway mark yet.

Read this book, don't read this book. I just recommend reading the Grisha trilogy first, the terminology might make more sense and give you further insight while you're reading the Six of Crows duology.
