Finding Audrey - Sophie Kinsella
Book Synopsis: An anxiety disorder disrupts fourteen-year-old Audrey’s daily life. She has been making slow but steady progress with Dr. Sarah, but when Audrey meets Linus, her brother’s gaming teammate, she is energized. She connects with him. Audrey can talk through her fears with Linus in a way she’s never been able to do with anyone before. As their friendship deepens and her recovery gains momentum, a sweet romantic connection develops, one that helps not just Audrey but also her entire family.
That was one of the most beautifully written books that I've read in my whole life.
Suddenly, I know what I want for Christmas. Yes, this book!
Audrey has anxiety. Let's face it, all of us have feelings like that. For Audrey, it's magnified times 1,000. Struggling with mental illness is hard and to do it alone is torture. Luckily, we have family and friends to back us up. Just like Audrey, I have been blessed to have a great support group of my own in times of need and anytime at all really.
I liked the dynamic of this book and the relationship between Linus and Audrey definitely made me smile.
Though this book is a work of fiction, I think that anyone can relate to one of the characters in the story.
In the future, I would like to read this book again and I am going to be recommending it to anyone and everyone.
