Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie
Book Synopsis: The boy who refuses to grow up teaches Wendy and her younger brothers how to fly. Then it's off to magical Neverneverland for adventures with mermaids, Indians, and wicked Captain Hook and his pirate crew in this illustrated, easy-reading adaptation of the classic fantasy.
I was never really a fan of Peter Pan, even as a kid, I never really enjoyed the story or movies about the kid who never grew up. There are even songs, poems, and television shows that are based upon this subject.
Honestly, I guess the same can go for the story, I finished it in one sitting, and I still didn't appreciate the novel, or even develop any warm feelings towards it.
It's kind of a dark and creepy classic tale, it's not even strictly for kids, even though it may be geared to cater to that audience. I received this book a long time ago as a present, but never until today did I even consider opening it.
Though at the same time I do regret reading it, I also am glad that I was able to tackle two completely different classics in one day.
