Everything changes when they uncover the truth. The Starbound Trilogy: Three worlds. Three love stories. One enemy.
This book definitely had a nice pacing and a good rhythm to it. I enjoyed the characters and the cheese-factor it had going on.
Usually, I don't pick up Sci-Fi books and I am making it a habit to start reading more from that genre. The names of the main characters were odd, yet they fit perfectly into the story.
Sure, some parts were confusing, but I continued reading and made sense of my confusion later. Lilac LaRoux and Major Tarver Merendsen couldn't possibly be more different and of course it was written in the stars that they would fall in love. Told in alternating perspectives, the chapters were short and the brief intermission before each chapter made the book hard to put down.
Truly, this is one of my favorite science fiction books to date. It was so easy to just fall in love with the story and imagine how the novel plays out in my head. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the Starbound trilogy.
On another note, I can't wait until BBC America's Doctor Who comes back on the air!
