Between Us and the Moon - Rebecca Maizel

Book Synopsis: A luminous young adult novel that evokes Judy Blume’s Forever for a new generation. Ever since Sarah was born, she’s lived in the shadow of her beautiful older sister, Scarlett. But this summer on Cape Cod, she’s determined to finally grow up. Then she meets gorgeous college boy Andrew. He sees her as the girl she wants to be. A girl who’s older than she is. A girl like Scarlett. Before she knows what’s happened, one little lie has transformed into something real. And by the end of August, she might have to choose between falling in love, and finding herself. Fans of Jenny Han and Stephanie Perkins are destined to fall for this story about how life and love are impossible to predict.

I think that I found this book completely on my own thanks to a useful app called Overdrive. My mom discovered the app after talking to one of her friends. Gotta love the internet! I've been hooked ever since I downloaded it to my tablet and phone. How do you get the nickname Bean from a lovely name like Sarah? Why is Tucker such a jerk? If I were Bean, I would've dumped him, and maybe even before he asked me out, I would've said in your dreams.

Sarah's older sister Scarlett is such a diva, she's spoiled, dishonest, and not a very good sister at all. I guess I was drawn to the cover - I don't live in this world, I just observe it, the font is so eye-catching - how could I not pick it up?

For such a smart girl, Sarah is pretty stupid for lying to Andrew and then leading him on. It wasn't a good idea to tell a little white lie, no matter how handsome the boy may be. Lying is never the answer.

Another book that didn't really live up to the hype.
